Two Chinese tourists were caught taking photos inside a Philippine Navy facility in Palawan last week, authorities said.
The Chinese nationals reportedly took photos at the Tide Pole Naval Facility in Parola on July 23.
Due to this, the Naval Forces West (NAVFORWEST) has requested the city's tourism office to exclude the military base from tours.
The tourism office, however, said the naval facility was not part of any tour package which was why they also wondered how the Chinese tourists got into the facility.
Tourists come in big groups with a guide and an interpreter, it added.
NAVFORWEST, meantime, declined to comment on the incident but said AN investigation is ongoing.
The Western Command is expected to discuss the incident in a press briefing Monday.
